WHO WE ARE
The City Church is a group of people who Jesus has saved and assembled to reach and serve the surrounding Washington Metro Area. We come together to worship Jesus, build a strong local church and surprise our city with the goodness and power of God.
WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT YOU
At The City Church we believe there is a great destiny on your life. Jesus said that He came to earth that we might have a life of abundance (John 10:10). Every time we come together to worship at The City Church, we are celebrating what Jesus has done for us. The LIFE part comes in because we’ve discovered an incredible richness of life that comes from having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe wholeheartedly in the entire Bible. We try to be intelligent without being too cerebral. We pray with an expectation to see God do the supernatural- without the mixture of us being too sensational. Through the Bible, we foster a contagious atmosphere of unwavering faith- without neglecting the God given faculties of reason and logic. We value relationships over assignments and to us you are part of the family; no matter what your age, background, political affiliations, financial status or favorite NFL (Redskins) team.
Your destiny in God is our passion- so we want to be both an encouraging voice and a challenging voice in your spiritual journey. We believe that God wants to bless you, encourage you and use you where He has you right now!

Q: What time does church start?
A: Our Sunday morning worship experiences begin at 9:15am and 11:00am
Q: Is there anything for children?
A: Children are always welcome to worship alongside their parents in all of our meetings. Additionally, we offer City Kids on Sunday mornings. City Kids is an interactive children’s program for children of all ages. It will quickly become your child’s favorite time of the week. Check it out here.
Q: Are you metro accessible?
A: The City Church is less than a block from the AU/Tenley Metro Stop on the Redline. When exiting metro on the escalators take the Wisconsin Avenue West exit. After surfacing to street level, take an immediate left on River Road. The City Church is on your left next to The Container Store.

Q; Do you have parking?
A: The upper parking lot is reserved for you, our guest, as well as, expecting mothers and families with young children. This parking lot is accessed from River Road and is right next to the main entrance of the church. There’s also plenty of street parking available. Where to park.
Q: Where should I go when I arrive?
A: If you have questions, come straight to our Welcome Center in the Lobby or ask anyone of our greeters or ushers. They’re eager to help get you and your family whatever you need!
